Happy Easter!

Well Easter hit the Ward household and it didn't disappoint!  When we were pregnant we thought that Jax might arrive in time for Easter 2011, but that didn't happen.  Therefore this year got to be Jax's first Easter!  We had big plans to head down to my parents' for church and then lunch at their house.  However, I got sick (and I am totally blaming the move) and we decided we should probably stay home.  I was so disappointed that we couldn't be at church for Jax's first Easter, but I know it was better for us to stay home and we will have many more Easter's to come where we can go.

Just because we were staying home didn't mean that Jax would stay in his pjs all day.  I had way too cute of an Easter outfit (my mom and I found it shopping months ago) for him to let it go to waste.  So we dressed him up and brought him down to see what the Easter bunny had left for him.

Gotta love a little boy in a sailor suit!

It was an absolutely gorgeous day, so we played outside for awhile.

We told Jax that the Easter Bunny might make a personal appearance.  Even though this is obviously a very busy day for him, Uncle Kevin seemed to have a connection with him and had pulled some strings.

Jax eagerly awaited his arrival.

"Guys, is he coming or what?"

Soon he was here!  Hello Mr. Bunny!

Jax was not sure what to make of the Easter Bunny.

At first there was some curiosity ...

and then, well, this picture sums it up.

Jax recovered quickly when his dad came back over.

Someone that had plenty of love for the Easter Bunny, Uncle Kevin's girlfriend Megan, good thing Kevin wasn't there or he might have been a little jealous.

Before leaving, the Easter Bunny decided to demonstrate his b-ball skills.  I personally loved the dunks.

For accuracy, it should be noted that the goal was lowered just a "little."  We figured since the Easter Bunny didn't have tennis shoes on, it was only fair.

Jax wanted to get in on the action as well.

I think the Easter Bunny got a little over heated, with all that fur and all.

After shooting some hoops, the Easter Bunny headed out.
Uncle Kevin showed up soon after, just missing him.
He got a slightly warmer reception from Jax.

My parents were nice enough to come up after their lunch to give Jax his Easter Basket
and bring us lots of leftovers!

Happy Easter from the Wards!
