You are now one year old. We can't believe this day has come so quickly. One sweet little newborn is now a funny, happy one year old.
This month you hit another milestone, you took your first steps! You have been pulling up and even standing alone for a few weeks now and on Easter morning you took three steps together before getting down to crawl. We were so excited to both be there for the moment. You tried walking two more times that morning and then didn't try again for another week. We couldn't figure out why you had no more interest in walking until we realized it is because you can move so much faster when you are crawling! You have made a few more attempts since then and we know it won't be long before you are running all over the house.
You are also really into cuddling right now which we both love. It seems to remind us that even if you are growing up so fast, you are still our little boy. We really cherish those moments with you. You are still absolutely obsessed with balls. It is the only word you really say on a regular basis and you crawl after one the moment you see it. You have mastered throwing the ball and love playing catch. You also think giving a "high five" is one of the funniest things imaginable.
Our new house has been one big adventure for you. You explore every room, climb every stair, and seem to really love it here. We can't wait to make so many more memories with you here.
We love you so very much, son. You are the best thing that has ever happened to us and each day gets better and better. We can't wait to see what this next year brings and continue to love watching you grow.

We took Jax's last set of monthly pictures pretty late in the day. This time of day is generally known around the Ward household as "manic baby time." Therefore, it was exhausting trying to get a decent picture of him. Most were "action shots." :)
I finally snapped this one and we called it a day!
