Jax,
We will admit that we are having a little harder time with this monthly milestone as you are now six months old. You just suddenly seem so big to us. We look at you sometimes and wonder, "where did this big boy come from?" You are such a fun little guy right now and we really are loving every single minute we have with you. That might be why your mom has such a hard time leaving you still, she doesn't want to miss anything.
You are a master of communicating now. While you might not be speaking our language yet, you are able to easily convey what you want most of the time. You are reaching for everything from cups and food to one of us when we walk in the room. We have started to notice that patience isn't your strongest trait. If we are getting you something and not doing in fast enough, you are more than willing to let us know! You also aren't very patient with yourself. You want to be a baby on the move and get frustrated with yourself when you can't crawl over to a toy you way. You are getting closer and closer to crawling and we know that once it happens, there will be no stopping you.
Your loves right now currently include balls, anyone's clothing that you can put in your mouth, your beloved Sophie, bath time and your mom singing to you. You get the sweetest smile on your face when you hear a song and it is amazing to watch. Now that you are sitting up completely on your own, there are lots of toys that entertain you during the day as well.
You still continue to explore everything your vocal chords can do. Lately you have been working on that upper register of yours and we hear high pitch screams and think you are upset only to find a big grin on your face. Speaking on that grin, you are still such a flirt with the ladies. Whenever we are out and a woman stops to look at you, you just grin and then turn your head slightly away, pretending to be shy. The ladies eat it up.
By far the biggest accomplishment for that mouth of yours though is the beginning of your first tooth! We could feel it last night and know it will make an appearance in no time.
When exposed to new things or activities, you don't always immediately embrace them. You are cautious and have to "test the waters" before getting excited. Once tested though, you jump in and enjoy it all. We love watching you soak up all that is around you. Seeing the world through your eyes is a pretty amazing thing.
We love you so much sweetie.
Love, Mommy and Daddy
