Here he was all excited and ready to hit the beach!
We had a big umbrella that gave him lots of shaded area to play in which was perfect. On a side note, yes I know the outfit is ridiculous. I just think it is adorable and realize that I only have a small window of opportunity to dress this little boy in what I want and I am taking full advantage of it!
Madre bought a book about the ocean that she read with Jax.
Today we took Jax in the ocean for the first time. I was fully prepared for him to not like it as the water is a little cool. He hasn't been the biggest fan of cold water in pools so I didn't expect the ocean to be any different. He ended up liking it though. When I first got him in the water he wasn't too sure what was going on, but when he saw all three of us happy and excited he seemed to come around and start enjoying himself.
He LOVED watching the waves.
After getting back on dry land, Jax was ready for a nap. I hung out with Jax and got some sun while Madre and Papa Bear went for a walk.
After the beach we headed directly over to The Broken Egg (sand, wet swimsuits and all) for lunch. This little restaurant is my parents favorite and has fantastic breakfast food. I put Jax in a highchair for the first time and he looked like such a big boy!
After some nap time we headed to St. Armand's circle which is a great shopping and dining area. We did a little shopping and then had a late dinner (6:30!) before coming back. This was past Jax's usual bedtime of 6:30 so he was a little tired. He was great though and was a hit with all the waiters at the restaurant.
All in all, another great day in Siesta Key. I am ready to get to bed so we can wake up and do it all over again.

I love the outifit! Live it up as a baby, Jax!
