Our Last Few Days in Paradise

We are now back home.  Sorry for the delay in updates but the last couple of days in Siesta Key were really busy and when we got home last night we enjoyed some well needed family time with Jasper before putting Jax to bed and going to sleep ourselves.  Paige's wedding was Sunday and while it threatened to rain, it didn't during the beach ceremony itself and was wonderful.  I took a million (actually more like 439) pictures at the wedding  but will have to go through those when I get back.  Right now I just want to post some of the final pictures I have taken during our beach vacation.

Here is Jax showing off his muscles in his muscle tee when we went to the beach on Friday.
Apparently he didn't look too masculine because someone asked me what "her" name was.

Flex those muscles baby!

My mom was laughing because whenever I get out the camera and say Jax's name, he usually looks at me and smiles.  I have this kid trained when it comes to photo shoots and mom thinks it might be a sign that I take too many pictures.

Jax was so happy at the beach this day.
He sat with Madre for a really long time looking at his ocean book and watching the people walk by.

A day at the beach really is exhausting for a baby.  Each day Jax looked like this by the end.

Heading out into the ocean, Jax was prepared for all the elements.

I think these glasses are hilarious on Jax, but they really kept the sun out of his eyes and stayed on his head!  Here we were getting ready to head out to town.

By the end of the trip though, this is what Jax looked like.

On Saturday we went out for breakfast before heading out to the beach for a walk.

It was really windy on Saturday and we opted to just walk on the beach
for awhile rather than camp out there all day.

That evening we went out to dinner with Paige.

Jax loves his Aunt Paige.

Since we went out to eat so early, I figured I should dress Jax like the other men we saw out for the early bird special so that he could blend in.  He looks like such an old man in this outfit and I LOVE it.  Go ahead and make fun of it Uncle Tyler.

After dinner it was time to play "King of the Belly" on Papa Bear!

After Jax has gone to bed each night my mom and I have been playing a game called Bananagrams (we are really cool we know) that is like scrabble except each player works off their own words and there aren't points for each letter, you just compete to see who can use all there letters in one puzzle first.  This night I won the ultimate championship hand and was pretty proud.  My mom and I get really competitive about board games and it is really comical sometimes.  I am pretty sure there was even a point we starting yelling in excitement and we worried we had woken up the baby!  Here was my winning board.  :)

Sunday morning they were calling for rain all day and so we decided not to do a full beach day, especially since we were going to Paige's wedding in the afternoon.  Mom, Jax and I went to the beach for a little while and Dad just ran some errands.  I had to take a picture of Jax in his little sailor romper.

Since we got to the beach before the lifeguards went on duty, we were able to climb up the lifeguard tower for some pictures and to check out the view.

In full disclosure the picture below is one that I recreated from a photographer's website I saw.
I thought this pose was adorable.

Jax was very interested in the birds on the beach today.  Madre was pointing them all out to him and he would watch as they flew all around.

These two birds were particularly interesting.  The one on the right was NOT HAPPY with the bird on the left and was letting him know it.  When the bird on the left finally flew off while the one on the right was still squalling, the bird on the right took off after him.  It was hilarious.

After getting back from the beach we had to hurry and get ready for Paige's wedding.  There was a series of storms heading in and so they moved the wedding up to not get caught in the storm.  Here we were all ready to head out the door.  When I post pictures from the wedding you will notice that Jax has a different outfit on at the wedding because somebody decided to have a big messy diaper on the way.  Luckily this momma has learned to pack extra outfits on each trip for just such an occasion.  :)

"Come on Mom, stopping kissing me already!"

While four of us flew down to Florida, only 3 of us flew back.  No we didn't leave Jax down there, my dad had to drive back because they bought a car while we were down there.  This is actually the second time that my parents have bought a car while on vacation in Siesta Key.  Who does that?  Not sure what it is about the cars down there, but they like them better. :)  Here is Mom's new ride.

Mom, Jax and I headed out Monday morning to the airport and started in pretty good spirits!

The flights home were exhausting though  as the flights were a little rough and packed.  We were very happy when we landed in Louisville!  While we have had a fantastic time, I will admit I was more than ready to get back home to see Jasper.
So happy to see Daddy!

Hopefully I will be able to post pictures from the wedding soon, right now I need to unpack!
