Labor Day

We had a wonderful Labor Day weekend and I just wanted to share a few pictures.  On Sunday we went over to our friends Matt and Stacey's house after church.  Since they have a little boy troy that is 1 month younger than Jax we had lots to talk about and it was great seeing the boys interact with each other.  I am sure it won't be long before we aren't able to just sit around in the living room and chat, but will instead be chasing energetic boys around!  It was a lot of fun and the awesome burgers Matt grilled were an added bonus.

Jax checking out Troy's swing the only way he knows how, by trying to eat it.

They were like this last time they interacted as well.  They quickly held hands, it was so cute!

"Nice place you've got here!"
On Monday Jasper had to work so Jax and I headed down to E-town for a late lunch with the family.  Both of Jax's Great-Grandmothers were there so it was lots of fun.  This boy seriously could not ask for any more attention.

Yankees fan in the making.  Jasper is a big Yankees fan so I imagine Jax will be learning the line up very soon.

Jax showing off his awesome "fist in mouth" skills to Nana who was thoroughly impressed.
After an amazing lunch (seriously I have no idea why I didn't inherit the cooking gene from my parents as they are fantastic cooks), the cards were brought out and Skipbo was the game of choice for the day.  These ladies don't mess around with their cards!

In fact Jax was the only way to distract them from their game.  Madre tried to start teaching him the rules.  You have to start them young!

Seriously, could this kid get any cuter?

It really felt like fall outside as it was in the low 70s all day (a striking different from 102 just two days before!).  Thanksgiving will be here before we know it and apparently the turkeys got the memo.  They are hard to see because I didn't have the zoom on my camera, but there were three wild turkey's in my parents' back yard!

Me and my little man after coming home.  I just can't get enough of him.
