The Blur that is December

My goodness this month has flown by.  I seriously have no idea how Christmas is this week.  Our days have been filled with the normal events (naps, feedings and playtime) and some very special events as well.  We will get to all the Christmas festivities in another post, but for now I am REALLY far behind on this blog.  Tis the season I guess.  Here is how the month of December started for us...

It got cold!  Luckily I LOVE little boy hats (I bought several while pregnant) and Jax also likes to wear them.

We started our Christmas festivities with heading to Elizabethtown to see my Dad's choir perform their annual Christmas concert.  This concert starts at 7 and Jax's usual bedtime is around 6:30.  I knew it was a long shot that we would be able to stay long but we did make it through until intermission.  I actually put Jax down for his nap late and had to wake him up in order to get him ready to go.  He looked pretty cute and even gave me a smile through his tired eyes.

He only sat still for a couple of shots though before my pictures looked like this:

At intermission before we headed home.  It was a great concert.

The next day my parents watched Jax (Jasper was in California on business) while I headed up to Indiana with some college friends to shop and hang out.  The morning didn't start off very good as I got this on the way up.

First time I had been pulled over since college!  I was (allegedly) going 70 on the Interstate and not sure why I was pulled over, then the cop informed me that the speed limit lowered to 55 through that area.  Another reason I don't like Indiana.  I did like their hats though!  My friend Ashley's mom has been making these adorable hats ever since Ashley became pregnant.   I bought two for Jax, this sock monkey one and a dinosaur one.  Too precious.  Us girls also all got this knit hair wraps that were sold at a local shop.  Jax and I had to model out new hats as soon as I got home.

Jax was pretty tired the next day.  I think my parents really wore him out!  He did a lot of this...

Never too tired to play though, I love this picture of Jax with his toys.  He almost always has at least one ball in his hands and sometimes he has a hard time putting one down so he can play with his other toys.

This is Jax's "Mom can I please go take a nap now?" face.

We have been up to lots more this month so I will try to get caught up before Christmas!
