Poolside

Today was spent fighting the summer heat poolside at my parents house. For the past several years we have gone down to their pool in August with Mikey and Mimi as well as Jasper's Goddaughters Chloe and Sophie. We made the trip again this year and introduced Jax to the tradition. We had lots of fun enjoying one of the last days of summer before the girls head back to school.

While I had sat Jax in the pool for all of a minute before today, this was is first time really hanging out in the water. He wasn't sure about the whole thing but we think he will warm up to the idea.



Chloe opted to hang out in the shade all day. Apparently we aren't that cool to a 13 year old.

Sophie, however, was all about swimming and luckily she had several adults available to keep her entertained.


Jax had gotten fussy so Madre took him upstairs to change his diaper. When they came back she announced that Jax was no longer fussy because she had put a UK onesie on him. This did not make his daddy, a huge UL fan, very happy.


However, Jax immediately started crying and Jasper professed that it must mean Jax did not like UK.


It is a tough life at the pool.


Hopefully we can get in a few more of these lazy pool days before the summer ends. They are so much fun.
