I then proceeded upstairs to change Jax in his nursery. That is when I discovered the real treat left for me by my sweet little dogs, lots of dog poop right on the landing and a wet spot from pee in the nursery. Lovely. We haven't had a dog go to the bathroom in our house in years. I guess we will never know for 100% who the culprit was, but we are 99.9% sure it was Ladybird as she is the one we always find trying to go upstairs. I was only gone for maybe an hour tops so I know it wasn't an issue of them really having to go outside. I honestly think that it was Ladybird staking claim to the nursery. We don't allow the dogs upstairs and she always wants to know what we are doing up there. Looks like someone was letting us know she wants more attention.
So I cleaned up the mess while trying to talk to Jax as he was crying. I then spent the rest of the day dealing with lots of spit up, feedings for a fussy baby, and a very messy house. Needless to say, today was one of those days when we were waiting by the door for Jasper to get home from work.
As crazy and stressful as today was, I will take all the messes, endure all the fussiness and give up all my sleep for one of these looks.
It is totally worth it.
parent hood can be a rather frustrating. I feel like I have to wing it a lot of the time because I have absolutely NO CLUE what I am doing.
