We are doing lots of holiday inspired activities around here these days. Today Jax had a full day with baking cookies and decorating a Christmas tree!
While Miles took his morning nap this morning Jax and I got to spend some one on one time in the kitchen making sugar cookies. Because my son LOVES his hats, you know I had a cooking hat just for him. His favorite part of the process was the icing. I put some on one cookie and he took the other cookies and dipped them in the icing.
I love his look in this picture like I caught him in the act. In his defense he hardly ever gets any sugar so it was probably a little confusing for me to suddenly give him such a sweet snack. I am just hoping he doesn't start asking for cookies now.
After nap time we headed over to Mickey and Meme's house to decorate their tree. It was a special treat for us because Uncle Kevin and Megan were up from Nashville to join in.
I think their family philosophy for Christmas trees is go big or go home. This tree was huge!
Again Miles slept through much of the ordeal. He was passed out at this point. I swear at some point he is going to be away more, I just don't know when.
Jax is my wild man though so he made up for his brother's lack of activity. Look at that belly.
Helping Mickey put his ornament on the tree.
Jax loves this penguin toy they have at their house. It was the only thing that could keep him in one place for any period of time. It also gave his dad a break so he could take a nap.
The finishing touch, the angel on the top of the tree.
Looks like we are all ready for Santa!
