This morning his fever went back up to 101.3 and therefore we had to head back. A few more tests were run to check for RSV and the flu. These tests were just a swab of his nose so no big deal. Honestly since these were the least invasive of the tests I am not sure why they weren't included the night before. After those came back negative we were just given the second does of the antibiotic and able to go home again. They think it is probably just a virus.
He didn't let his fever get in the way of his cuteness. This was him as we waited to be seen by the doctor.
They also had the tiniest of hospital gowns for Miles to wear.
While I am sure as the mom of two boys I will see this place many times, I would prefer not to go with my poor newborn. I am just glad we live 5 minutes from the new Children's Medical Center which is fantastic. While Jasper and I were sitting in the room rocking Miles we talked about how lucky we are that so far our kids have been so healthy. I just cannot imagine what it is like to have a really sick child and have the hospital visits and tests be a normal part of my life. I am so glad that Miles is big and healthy.
