Jax cleaning up before everyone arrived.
Adorable little Kaitlyn in her red dress.
I feel like at every family function I find Jax and his cousin Jack in the ball pit.
Possibly the best gift Jax has received has been the St. X ball from his cousin Tanner who is a freshman at St. X. Jax kept calling it his "8 ball" we thought but we think he is actually saying "X ball" after hearing us call it the St. X. ball. So cute! Looks like he will be ready to go there in 2024!
After our first celebration we packed up and headed down to Yaya and Papa Bear's house for the Christmas Eve church service and celebration with them. Luckily Jax got a good nap in on the way down so after we got there and got changed he was happy and ready to play. I just love the little farm set that they have down there for him to play with.
Jax decided that there needed to be a few more things in the tree so he started picking up things around the room to put in the branches.
He got to open his big present before we headed off to the church service,
the Little People Zoo which he LOVES.
We thought since everyone was dressed up we might try to get a decent family picture.
This is as close as we got.
Someone was ready to head out to the church service.
Once at the service though he wasn't really into the idea of sitting still and quiet. As soon as the service began he wanted to get down and run around. It wasn't very long before he and Jasper ended up in the nursery for the remainder of the service. Miles on the other hand was just perfect. He was sleeping in my arms the entire service and even made some sweet little cooing sounds that were just precious. We got home and you could tell that the Jax man was starting to get tired. It was 6pm after all!
He rallied though when it was time for the rest of the presents.
First he played some more with the zoo he got. It was a big hit.
Sleeping baby
Check out my new ride!
Jax got his car from his Great Grandmother Gey. She had recently been sick and we were so glad that she has recovered and was able to be with us to see him open her present.
Big Bird!
Obviously no Christmas is complete without a Yoda doll. That would be the gift from Jax's Uncle Tyler.
Jax looked so handsome and so grown up.
After Jax's presents were opened he got changed into his Christmas pjs and sent to bed. Miles got to stay up and enjoy the party though as the rest of us had a delicious dinner and opened presents.
I think he might have liked not sharing the spotlight. :)
Miles seemed to like hanging out with his Uncle Tyler. This was right after we asked Tyler to be Miles's Godfather. They both seemed pretty excited about it.
Yes Miles got some presents as well, he just isn't really playing with them yet.
He will be soon though I have no doubt.
We had a wonderful evening and stayed into the night. I love that we live so close to all of our family and get to be at all the gatherings. At the end of the night we packed up our sleeping kids, the toys and lots of great leftover food and headed out to make it home before Santa arrived. Now Jasper and I just have to get some sleep so we are ready for our own celebration in the morning. Merry Christmas!
