Christmas Marathon

Let the Christmas celebration begin!  Today starts our marathon of Christmas celebrations and we kicked things off with a bang celebrating with Jasper's parents and brother.  This group is pretty laid back so before we got started we had plenty of time to hang out and catch up.  Miles got to spend some quality time with his Uncle Kevin and seemed pretty happy about it.

While there were LOTS of presents for Jax under the tree, he really didn't get the concept of unwrapping gifts to get toys.  He just wanted to play with the toys that were already out!

I didn't take many pictures while we were opening gifts, but this one was too funny to pass up.  Jasper and his brother got matching white sweatshirts for UofL games.  Their mom couldn't find sweatshirts like they wanted so she just had some made.  I am not sure it is quite what they were looking for, but it made for a great photo.

Then there was Miles ... sleeping.  I promise this kid is awake sometimes, just not that often.

He slept on me ...

On his Meme ...

and Megan as well.

Every once in a while we would catch his eyes open!

After we were done with the festivities there we hurried up to Lexington to see my dad's family.  I really wasn't sure how Jax was going to be with an shortened nap in the car, but it wasn't bad.

Hanging out with YaYa

Jax is REALLY good at sharing food.  Toys are another issue.

Miles sleeping, shocker I know.

Almost immediately after arriving Jax kept begging to go outside.  Thank goodness we have had nice weather.  Uncle Tyler and Kelsey took Jax outside for some basketball which made Jax's day.

He might need to grow a few more inches.

Miles decided to join the party for a little while.

My Aunt Debbie won the prize for being the most entertaining, a smile from Miles!

My dad and his brother showing off the hats they received in the gift exchange.

While Jax wanted to stay outside for most of the gift exchange, he did finally come in to see all the great gifts everyone had given to him.  He won't be bored at our house for a very long time.

Miles and his Papa Bear.

We came home with two tired little boys who went straight to bed.  I am hoping that they rest up tonight because tomorrow we start all over again.
