A Weekend with Jax

Jax had big plans to head to Etown to visit his YaYa and Papa Bear this weekend.  We thought he would have a blast and that it would be good for Jasper and I to have a little down time before Baby Gary made his big debut. After our OB appointment this week when we learned this weekend would be out last as a family of three, we decided to move Jax's visit up a day so that he would be back on Sunday so the three of us could spend some quality time together before the arrival of baby Gary next weekend.  So my mom and dad came and picked Jax us for two fun and very busy days!  Luckily my parents like to send me lots of pictures and video when they are watching him.  Here are just a couple they sent.

Apparently my parents took Jax to a pumpkin patch and Jax picked out this pumpkin for Jasper.  This picture is proof that grandparents will do ANYTHING for a grandkid.  Prior to Jax you would never catch my dad buying anything with the Louisville Cardinal on it. :)

My parents also took Jax out to eat.  Jax dines at much fancier establishments with his YaYa and Papa Bear then he does with his parents.  Since Jax goes to bed so early, you have to have dinner early as well and there apparently was no one else dining yet that Jax could disturb.  When my parents sent me this picture, my first thought was that it looked like Jax was getting etiquette lessons.  Isn't the standard rule that you start with the fork on the outside and work your way in?  :)

Today was Glendale days which is a very popular festival.  Jax got to see his first parade!  I didn't send a hat down with him so my parents picked one up on their way over.  This one was an adult medium!  While it was big on Jax it wasn't that big.  Apparently he has a big head which he gets from his Papa Bear.  My parents reported that Jax loved the parade.

What did Jasper and I do while Jax was having all these adventures?  SLEEP!  While I have been away from Jax overnight before, I have never been home with him being away.  It was so odd to wake up and not immediately start my day by taking care of someone.  I didn't know what to do with myself.  We did enjoy it though because we know that soon we will have our hands very full!
