This is the one room that really needed work in the new house. The space in the bathroom was fine, but the layout was terrible. There was a giant tub area in our bathroom, but the tiniest shower I have ever seen, it was actually the smallest shower in our house which seemed weird for a master bath. The bathroom was also very dated so it was in need of a redo .
Jasper usually lets me do my thing when it comes to interior design. I do always want him to really like the space though, especially when it is a big project we are doing. I asked him what he envisioned for the bathroom and his response was "brown." My response to that was "hmmm, because I was thinking white." I have a mental picture of exactly what I wanted in a master bath and when I described it to Jasper he wasn't sold. In fact, when I mentioned a shower in white subway tile I think he words were "it sounds like it will look like a 1920's New York prison." I decided that I needed to find a picture or two online of what I was envisioning and this is what I found.

I think it looks slightly better than a 1920's prison. :) Jasper seemed convinced this was the way to go (or at least decided not to put up a fight) so I have been accumulating lots of pictures to show our contractor of exactly what we want. We have decided on the new layout which will give us a much bigger shower while still giving us plenty of room for everything else. I am very excited for the final product, but anxious to see how it is to be living in a construction sight. We will see what happens!
