Zoo Trip with Madre

My mom's birthday was today and when we asked what she wanted she replied that she wanted a fun day with Jax!  We decided a trip to the zoo was called for and it was a gorgeous day for it. 

Jax has been to the zoo several times, but this time he really got into the animals.  

He loved getting out of the stroller to see them all. 

While he loved the giraffes ...

and the elephants ...

his favorite was the gorillas!

Looks like Jax has lots of growing to do before he can play with the gorillas.  :)

That didn't keep him from getting up close and personal with one though.  

If only that silly glass wasn't in the way. 

I love this picture because Jax and the gorilla seemed to have the same look on their faces.  

Maybe they are related? 

I don't have pictures of the end of our trip because it ended in a mess.  While Jax had a fabulous time, at the end he got really tired as it was close to nap time.  My kid is a FANTASTIC sleeper ... in his crib.  He apparently is not a fantastic sleeper in his stroller at the zoo and let me know that it was time to go.  Duly noted Jax, next time we will be home before nap time.  :)
