What We Have Been Up To

So as I mentioned, we have been busy.  When we haven't been busy with showing the house, we have been doing lots of other things and I wanted to share some of the pictures from the last two weeks.

Jax and I got a chance to go visit my friend Paige and her daughter Ava.  They are 10 months apart and it is funny how quickly that age gap is disappearing.  When Jax was born Ava seemed so much older.  While she is running around and Jax isn't, they seem much closer in age now and it is just a matter of time before they play together more I think.

Jax was outgrowing his ducky tub so we made the transition to the full tub this week.  Of course I had to take of picture of his last night in it and first night in the "big boy tub."  I feel like in all of these pictures Jax is thinking "seriously, does she have to take pictures of everything?"

We also made a trip to Frankfort to see Meme at her office!  Jax was a hit with all the ladies. While hanging out in Meme's office, Jax pulled out all the books from her shelf.  He was particularly interested in one of the textbooks she wrote that was in Chinese (I think).   Luckily Jax's Meme didn't mind the mess and insisted it meant he was really smart. :)

Before heading to lunch, Meme needed to send a quick e-mail.  She made the mistake of thinking she could do this with Jax in her lap.  Little did she know that Jax LOVES keyboards and immediately starts pounding on them whenever they are in reach.

We also were home a lot since we had lots of cleaning to do.  I just love this picture I snapped of Jax at home.

The other night was the terrible weather that produced the tornadoes in Southern Indiana.  Our basement isn't finished (though we have a finished basement in the new house!) so we hung out in the tv room with the weather on to see if we needed to head downstairs.  I never have the tv on when Jax is in the room, so at first he was pretty interested in what was on the tv.  The weather coverage had all those bright flashing lights that Jax loved.

He then became more interested in all the cords underneath the tv.  It reminded us why we never hang out with Jax in there, it is so not baby proof.

This weekend while the house was being shown twice in the morning, Jax and I went to the Home, Garden & Remodeling show with my parents.  Mom and I both found someone to do some fencing for us, so I call it a success.  Also Jax got an inflatable hammer, so it was a win/win.

  1. I can't get over how much he is growing! I'm sure Jax and Ava will be best buddies. When he starts walking they will have so much fun together! AC is 10 months younger than most in her class and you don't even notice most of the time!
