Deal of the Week: Breast Pump

So I read lots of different websites and try to watch for great deals. As Jasper always says in his sarcastic tone "you save us so much money." Well the deal I found yesterday was just too good to pass up. In a few months I will be in need of a breast pump. Exciting stuff I know and definitely a sign that my life is about to change rapidly when I start looking for deals on breast pumps rather than clothes and shoes.

Anyway, a pump that had great reviews was the Medela Freestyle which usually retails at most places including Target for $379.99. I hadn't planned on purchasing such a nice pump as the price is pretty high.

However this weekend I saw on one of the sites I frequent that this exact pump was on clearance at certain Target stores for $94! While it took some legwork (calling all the Targets in a 50 mile radius of my house)I was able to locate and get this pump for the clearance price. I was almost giddy when the sales clerk rang it up for me. So one more major purchase checked off the list.

My Sweet Surprise

My mom had informed me the other day that she and my mother in law had purchased my stroller as a gift for us. Well yesterday I was out of town until later in the evening for work. When I got home not only did I find that it had arrived at our house, but Jasper had put it together! He wanted to surprise me and have it finished which I just loved.



I can't tell you how exciting it is to have a baby stroller in our house in the nursery. It just makes it seem like we are so close! On a side note our dogs were absolutely terrified of the thing so it should make for some interesting walks.

100 days to go!

So I am almost 26 weeks and when I viewed my ticker this morning I realized that we are only 100 days from my due date! That seems like so soon. I go back and forth between thinking that is so far away and thinking that it will be here before we know it. There is so much to do to get ready for this little guy and I am well into "nesting" mode. I am actually home today as the carpet is being installed in the upstairs (including the nursery). We have been waiting for that to go in before we can set up anything in the nursery. Until now is has felt like I have done all this planning with nothing but ideas and purchases in boxes to show for it. I have a feeling the next few weeks will now be very busy as we set everything up.

Because of the 100 day milestone I took a picture of my ever expanding belly. I haven't been very good about taking lots of "bump pics" but I try to take them every few weeks so I can remember later on how this pregnancy progressed.



The picture is not the best. Since I am staying home today for the carpet install I am in sweats with no make up. I am sure though that the baby doesn't mind. :)

New Year New Blog

This is something that I have wanted to do for a very long time. I will admit I love reading blogs of friends and family. I even read blogs some nights of people I don't know. However I have never felt that there was anything in our life that 1)we felt comfortable sharing and 2) people would actually want to read. However things are changing in our lives and I feel now is the time to start documenting these changes. We are expecting our first child in April and are very excited for this blessing to arrive. It has not been an easy road for us to get to this point but I know that everything we have went through will be well worth it when we meet our baby boy. So this blog will be our documentation, our way to connect and share with family and friends, and an outlet for the many new feelings and experiences we have coming our way.
